Bring the family to Marine Drive. Dr. Farhad Goshtasby Ardekani has been looking after North Shore smiles for over 30 years, with a team of endodontists and periodontists working alongside him.
A dental clinic is judged on two things: whether the work is right, and whether you were treated like a person while it happened. We work hard at both.
A general dentist of 30+ years, an endodontist, and a periodontist all work here, so root canals, gum surgery, and implants are handled in-house, not referred across town.
If a tooth can be watched rather than drilled, we say so, and we show you the x-ray it's based on. A written plan and estimate before anything begins.
The phrase that shows up most in our reviews is that nobody feels rushed. We go at your pace, explain every step first, and stop whenever you need us to.
We accept the Canada Dental Care Plan and most major Canadian plans, including refugee coverage, and bill your insurer directly so you're not out of pocket.

We examine your teeth, gums, bite, and soft tissue, and take x-rays only where they'll tell us something useful.
You see the images and hear what they mean in plain language, no jargon, no pressure to decide on the spot.
Costs in writing, with your CDCP or insurance coverage checked before treatment is booked.
Urgent work first, elective work when it suits you. Nothing gets booked that you haven't agreed to.
“Dr. Goshtasby is extremely professional. I usually hate going to the dentist, but he made the whole experience much easier for me. Breathing through my nose is very difficult, and he was very considerate of that throughout the procedure.”

Every six months is the usual default, but it should be tailored to you. With healthy gums, no active decay, and little tartar build-up, once a year is often enough. If you have gum disease, smoke, have diabetes, or build tartar quickly, every three to four months is better.
Call our emergency line on (604) 441-1996. If a tooth has been knocked out, pick it up by the crown, never the root, and keep it in milk or your own saliva, and get to us within the hour if you can.
Dr. Farhad Goshtasby Ardekani speaks both English and Farsi, and several members of the team are bilingual. Tell us your preference when you book.
