Cosmetic Dentistry
Whitening, porcelain veneers, Invisalign clear aligners, dental bonding, gum contouring, and tooth-coloured fillings. We plan cosmetic work around your face and your budget, and we'll tell you honestly which treatment gets you the result you want for the least intervention..
Cosmetic Dentistry at Brighter Smile
Cosmetic dentistry changes how your teeth look, colour, shape, alignment, and how much gum shows when you smile. The important part is choosing the least invasive treatment that solves your particular problem. Whitening removes nothing from the tooth. Bonding is reversible. Veneers are permanent. We will tell you which one you actually need, even when it is the cheaper option.
A result that still looks like you
-
The least invasive option first
If whitening or bonding will get you the result you want, we will not sell you veneers. Enamel does not grow back, so we remove as little as possible.
-
Planned around your face
Shade, shape, and proportion are matched to your features and your existing teeth, so the outcome reads as natural rather than obviously done.
-
Alignment treated as alignment
Crowding is an orthodontic problem. Invisalign moves the teeth you already have instead of masking the crowding behind porcelain, usually a better long-term outcome.
-
Costs on the table up front
You get a written estimate for each option and a straight answer on how long each one lasts before you commit to anything.
From consultation to finished smile
- 01
Consultation
We talk about what bothers you, examine your teeth and gums, and confirm the foundation is healthy enough for cosmetic work.
- 02
Options and costs
You see what whitening, bonding, veneers, or Invisalign would each achieve for your teeth, with prices and lifespans side by side.
- 03
Shade and shape planning
For veneers and bonding we match shade against your natural teeth in daylight and agree the shape before any work begins.
- 04
Treatment and review
Bonding and whitening are usually single visits; veneers and Invisalign run over several. We review the result and adjust until you are happy.

Whitening if the shape is fine and only the colour bothers you. Bonding for a small chip or gap: one visit, cheapest, reversible, but it stains over time. Veneers when several front teeth need shape and colour changed at once, or when staining is too deep to bleach, they last longest but a thin layer of enamel is removed permanently.
No. Bleaching only lightens natural tooth structure. Existing crowns, veneers, and tooth-coloured fillings keep their original shade, so if they are visible when you smile they may need replacing afterwards to match. We plan for this before you start.
Well-made porcelain veneers commonly last ten to fifteen years or more with good hygiene. They resist staining better than natural enamel. They can chip under heavy grinding, so if you clench at night we will usually recommend a nightguard to protect them.
For the majority of crowding and spacing cases, yes. Clear aligners apply gentle, planned pressure to move teeth into position, and they are removable for eating and cleaning. Very complex bite corrections are still better handled with fixed braces, we will tell you at the consultation which category you fall into.
Purely cosmetic treatment is generally not covered by either. Where a treatment is also restoring function (rebuilding a broken tooth, for example), part of it may be. We check your coverage and give you the out-of-pocket figure before you decide.
